Poor visibility in rain at times within 120 nautical miles of first
trough 31S 120W 25S 132W 25S 148W, slow moving. Within 360 nautical
miles south of first trough: Southeast 25kt. High 1039hPa near 40S
137W extends first ridge 42S 130W 42S 125W 42S 120W, both moving
southeast 10kt, and second ridge 37S 143W 30S 155W 27S 170W, slow
moving. Poor visibility in rain within 120 nautical miles of second
trough 42S 175W 45S 172W 52S 166W moving east 20kt. Poor visibility
in showers within 300 nautical miles of Low 968hPa near 52S 172W
moving eastsoutheast 35kt. South of high and ridges: Northwest
quarter 25kt, with storms and gales as in warnings 513, 514 and 516,
and heavy northwest quarter swell. In a belt 240 nautical miles wide
centred on a line 52S 154W 54S 151W 55S 147W: Areas of fog possible.
Belt moving east 20kt.
Outlook following 72 hours:
High near 42S 132W, extends ridges to east and northwest, all moving
slowly southeast. Complex low near 45S 170W, moving southeast. North
of ridges: Southeast 20 to 30kt, tending clockwise gales about slow
moving low developing near 30S 125W around 221200UTC. Southwest of
ridges: Northerly quarter 20 to 30kt, but gales south of 30S, tending
clockwise about compex low. Areas of heavy swell with gales.
