A Memorial of an Indented deed of Assignment bearing date the 16th day of February in the year of our Lord 1842 & made between Martha Edkins of Lower Dorset Street in the City of Dublin Spinster of the first part Edward Davis Jnr of Bayview Avenue in the City of Dublin afores d Carpenter of the second part and Edward Davis Snr of Bayview Avenue aforesd gent of the third part after reciting as therein said deed now in recital Witnessed that in pursuance of an agreement therein mentioned and in consou of a sum of one hundred & three pounds two shilg and four pence Stery to said Martha Edkins paid by said Edward Davis Snr by the direction of said Edward Davis Jnr the receipt whereof was thereby acknowledged Said Martha Edkins executed bargained sold assigned transferred & made over unto said Edward Davis Senr his Exors admons and assignees All that the principal sum of Sixty pounds secured by Indenture of Mortgage of thirteenth of August 1836 and bond & Warrant of Attey collateral therewith in said Indenture in recited mentioned together with said Indenture of Mortgage and also the bond & Warrant of Attey for the principal sum and Interest and all the right title and Interest of said Martha Edkins therein To hold unto said Edward Davis Senr his Exors admons and assigns for the remainder of a term of 975 [ed a very long time] years granted by the sd Indenture of Mortagage Upon the trusts therein mentioned and said deed further witnessed that in further pursuance of said agreement and in conson of the sum of ten shillings to said Edward Davis Jn r said by said Edward Davis Senior the receipts ? thereby acknowledged said Edward Davis fur granted bargained sold transferred & made over unto sd Edward Daivs Senr his Exors Admons and assigns All that and those the plot or piece of building ground situate on the South side of Bayview Avenue contain in front to Bayview Avenue forty two feet and in the rere forty two feet and in depth from front to rere Eighty four feet be the said ? measurements more or less bounded by the North by Bayview Avenue aforesd on the South by houses in the possion of Chrisopher McDonnell and his undertenants out the East by sd Christopher McDonnells Cottage in which he then resided called Bayview Cottage and a small plot of Ground between the two and on the West by a lot of Ground upon which new houses had then been lately built by the sd Martha Edkins [small hole] together with the said two Cottages erected by the sd Edwd Davis all [rest small hole] which primes are situate lying & being in the Parish of Saint Thomas and city of Dublin To hold unto said Edwar Davis his Exors admons and assigns for the reminder of said term of years therein & herein afore mentd Upon Trust to receive the rents & profits thereof for life he supporting his two children of sd Edward Davis Jnr then born that is to say Edwd Tasman Davis and Anne Sarah Davis their Exors admons and assignes or the survivor of them on their attaining the age of twenty one years and until then to apply same to their maintenance & education and support and in case they should both die before the age of twenty one years then on trust to assign same to any children of said Edward Davis Jnr by any after taken wife but in case he should die without having any younger children then in trust to transfer said premises to Frederick Davis brother of said Edward Davis his Exor admons and assigns which said deed and this Memorial are resply Witnessed as to the Execution thereof by the said Martha Edkins and said Edward Davis Jnr by John Babington of four Blessington Street Attey and John Thos Edwd Freman of Upper Mount Pleasant Avenue in the Coy of Dublin Martha Edkins seal Edwd Davis Jnr seal Signed and Sealed in presence of by the sd Martha Edkins Edwd Davis Jnr John Babington atty The above named John Babington maketh oath & saithe that his a selbscribing Witness to the deed of which the above writing is a Memorial and also to this Memorial & Saith he saw same duly signed Sealed and Executed by Martha Edkins & Edwd Davis Jnr the granting parties in said deed and Saith the name John Babington subscribed as a Witness to said deed & this Memorial is this peponents proper name & handwriting & saith he delivered the sd deed and this Memorial to Walter Glascock Esqr
