Animal Magic - discussion group at U3AC

DIS 02 - 2 terms - Alternate Tuesdays 3.30 - 5.00 - start date 13 Oct

Web address: gwydir.demon.co.uk/jo/animal

This is a fun participatory research group for all who are interested in animals’ unique properties as well as their symbolic value for us human animals. Each fortnight we research an animal of our choice and then share our research with each other. Not only science but myths, legends, folk tales and our own personal experience can be ‘grist to our mill’ (internet included) to celebrate the value of these creatures with whom we share our planet.

This website is a blog of some of our discussions. If you want to add anything, email jo.edkins@gwydir.demon.co.uk

Oxford English Dictionary - see note below

The Oxford English Dictionary is a subscription website (needs money!) However, if you have a Cambridge City Library card, then you can use it for free (as the library has a subscription to it). Click on "Sign in" (top right of screen) and then on "Library card login". Then enter your library card number (from your library card - this is NOT your library PIN number). Then tell it that you're Cambridge and not Birmingham (sigh...) and you should be in.
