Click on a button and watch the star being drawn.

If you want to draw a star like this for yourself, then you need some paper, a pen or pencil, a ruler and a protractor to work out the angles. Chose your star and watch it being draw. Draw a line on the paper. Measure the correct angle (it's given above for each star). Draw another line of the same length, and so on. If you get the angles and the lengths right, you should end up where you started!

You can draw a star without measurement, but it's unlikely to be so regular. Mark five dots roughly in a circle. Now join each dot to the next dot but one. That will end up as a star. (Joining the next dot will give a pentagon.) Experiment with different numbers of dots, and which dots you join. Some work, some don't.
