You are walking along a road. Ahead, the road divides, and you don't know whether you take the right or left path. There are two men there. You know that one always tells the truth, and one always lies, but you don't know which is which. You are allowed to ask only one question, and you want to know which path to take. (You may feel at this point that this is a little odd, but you do need to accept all this as given, or the puzzle won't work.)
What question should you ask, and to which man?
