Capt. Thomas Binney
Father and mother: Capt. John Binney (?-1698) and Mercy
Married: Margaret Miller
Other facts: The parents of Thomas Binney are taken from a family tree (see right) found among family papers. It describes Captain John Binney as settling in Hull, Mass. in 1678, and that Thomas Binney was his fourth son. One copy of this family tree says "From the Binney book". I presume that this is the book quoted below, and throughout this website. No birth date is given for John Binney, but it says that he probably emigrated from Worksop, Notts., England, whose nearest seaport was Hull.
