Rev Frederick Dibblee was Rector of Woodstock, New Brunswick, for 35 years, dying in 1826. He kept a diary which described work on his farm, collecting sap to make sugar, the local social life, and transport to various locations. This map shows where the locations are, and gives a few quotes from the diary.
Click here for more extracts from the diary. This shows that Mr. Putnam was a neighbour of Rev. Frederick Dibblee, which explains the quote about Grand Falls.
