History of 164 Gwydir Street

In the 1901 Census the house was occupied by
Peter Samuel STEVENSON, born September 1829 in Cambridge, a tailor
He had a live-in housekeeper, Mary Catterall, born in Millom, Cumberland. On the day of the Census, her daughter (a domestic house-maid, also born in Millom) was recorded as a visitor.

Alfred Jackson, printer, lived in 164 Gwydir St in 1904 (see Spalding's Directory) and 1913 (see Spalding's Directory). In 1913, Mrs A.L.C.M. Jackson, teacher of the pianoforte, also lived there.
