Print off this page using the Print Button, or click on File/Print. Or you can right-click on the grid, which will let you print, save or copy just the grid. These grids are for circular mats which are really distorted square mats. This means that they do not have a hole in the centre, unlike the other circular mats.

Large circular mat (straight lines) Small circular mat (straight lines) Small circular mat (curved lines) |
You work this grid like a square mat, working one triangle (inside the pink lines), turn the pillow, then work the next triangle, and so on. The right grid has the lines of normal Torchon ground marked, so you can see where the lines go. This size mat requires about 30 pairs of bobbins. Of course you can have a pattern with less than this using this grid, but it may end up not quite circular. This happens because the lines are straight.

This is a smaller version of the grid above. It would require about 15 pairs of bobbins. The right grid has the lines of normal Torchon ground marked, so you can see where the lines go.

This is similar to the previous one, but it tends to have slightly curved lines rather than straight lines. If you use the entire grid, it will use about 20 pairs of bobbins, but if you use less, you will still have a circular mat. Just remove circles of dots from the outside in. If you remove dots from the centre outwards, then you can make an edging.
The pink lines show the edge of the triangle. Work one triangle from pink line to pink line. Then turn the pillow and work the next triangle, and so on. The grey lines show where the lines go. This grid is a larger scale than the previous ones.
