Solitaire board gameThis game is called Solitaire in Britain. I believe that Solitaire is a card game in America.The blue circles are counters and the black shows a hole. You move a counter by jumping it over another counter into a hole, and removing the jumped over counter. You identify which counter you wish to move by clicking on it, and then click on a hole to show where to move it. If it's a successful move, the computer will move your counter and remove the relevant counter, otherwise it will ignore you. The aim of the game is to be left with as few counters as possible. You're supposed to finish with one counter in the middle, but this can be difficult (or even impossible for some designs!) You can, of course, try to end with some different pattern, perhaps counters in each corner, or round the edge. You can even try to end with the most counters and no valid move available! If you want to design your own board, select it, then click on the choice at the bottom of the board, and in the board to make your own design. Remember to add at least one hole, or you won't be able to move anything! |
